High-workability masonry cements.

MRT E-Z Joint masonry cements are made primarily from recycled coal-combustion fly ash, which contains silica, clay, lime, and alumina. These cements use half as much water as conventional masonry cement, resulting in lighter-weight mortar for increased mason productivity. Other field benefits

for masons include higher plasticity and workability, long board life, and easy tooling of joints. The cements come in three formulations for different strength and performance requirements (Type N, Type S, and Type M) and meet or exceed ASTM C91 Type S specifications. Type N is for above-grade interior and exterior walls and loadbearing and nonloadbearing walls. Types S and M are for below-grade walls and loadbearing and nonloadbearing walls.
