At The Barbie[R] Mini Mart

J & J Snack Foods Corp. has teamed-up with Mattel to include Superpretzel[R] and ICEE[R] products in the new Barbie[R] Mini Mart. J & J has signed an agreement with Mattel, Inc. to license the Superpretzel[R] and ICEE[R] brand names for use in this play set.

The Barbie Mini Mart Play Set is a playset toy that allows girls to create a pretend interactive shopping experience with Barbie doll. The Superpretzel[R] display spins pretend Barbie-sized soft pretzels around and pretend ICEE[R] drinks can be dispensed from the ICEE[R] machine into a Barbie-sized cup.

The products provide a perfect complement to the play set. Superpretzel[R] Soft Pretzels and ICEE[R] frozen beverages are the number one selling brands in their categories and the Barbie doll is the number one toy of girls all around the world.

Distribution was rolled-out on a national basis to be available in toy departments in time for the '98 holiday season.

Oven Bites Introduced

Renaissance Foods has introduced Oven Bites[TM], available in the snack section of frozen food departments. Eggs, cheese, and cream are flavored with jalapeno and cream cheese, and zesty Italian inside a canola oil crust. The meatless snacks are made of all natural ingredients. They may be baked or microwaved. There are 12 individual one oz. "bites" per box.
