of the Tea Association of the USA, as well as to its sister organizations: Tea Council and Specialty Tea Institute (STI). Together, they speak as the official voice for its members, who represent the majority of importer, wholesaler, domestic retail, food service and specialty tea companies. The association's aims are to promote tea consumption by leveraging positive attributes of tea, helping the annual dollar growth of tea sales, establish/monitor global guidelines for pesticides and foreign elements. The association also intends to oversee the Global Standards including, but not limited to Organic, White, Decaffeinated teas and Tisanes, and participate and provide input on any media-related issues connected to tea.
