* TIC Gums announces the development and installation of its new dairy pilot plant, the second phase of an expansion to the company's applications laboratory. Bill Hanway has been named senior food technologist, responsible for operating the dairy pilot plant equipment -- a continuous barrel

freezer and an UHT/HTST with homogenizer -- for making ice cream and other frozen desserts. The equipment will mimic almost any dairy plant configuration from sour cream to cream cheese and from UHT chocolate milk to the latest soy protein ready-to- drink products.
