Improving the performance of a device through surface modification not only differentiates the unit in the marketplace, but it's often a requirement for market success. Sophisticated surface characterization provides fundamental information on the device surface, the interface between device and coating, and the coating surface. This helps select the most effective coating which speeds coating development, scale-up, and production.
