facelift to existing apprenticeship programs.

Students enrolled will receive national credentials under a competency-based program, unlike time-based programs. Working with the Labor Dept.'s apprenticeship and training office, NIMS (www.nims-skills.org) hopes to take the model apprenticeship curricula to companies and training providers nationwide.
