Eurotherm, a Leesburg, Va.-based manufacturer and supplier of industrial instrumentation for the process control and data acquisition industries, and a unit of Invensys pic, appointed Christopher King as product manager for Eurotherm's Recorder and Data Management product line. King will market Eurotherm's line of graphic, strip-chart, and circular recorders.
Dakota Gasification Company (DGC), a subsidiary of Basin Electric Power Cooperative in Foxboro, Mass., has selected the Foxboro unit of Invensys Process Systems as automation partner for a five-year modernization project at the company's Great Plains Synfuels Plant in Beulah, N.D. The plant produces more than 54 billion standard cubic feet of natural gas annually. Plant byproducts include fertilizers, solvents, phenol, carbon dioxide, and other chemicals.

Veracel Celulose S.A., a joint venture between Aracruz Celulose S.A. of Brazil and Scandanavian-based Stora Enso Oyj, has awarded Invensys Systems Brasil a multi-million dollar automation contract. Invensys will supply Foxboro I/A Series automation systems and advanced process control applications and associated services for Veracel's grassroots, 900,000 metric ton-per-year bleached eucalyptus pulp mill. The mill is now under construction in Eunpolis in the State of Bahia, Brazil.
