The UK's Paint Research Association (PRA) has postponed its appointment of a permanent managing director.

John Marshall, a trained chartered accountant, will assume the role of managing director until further notice. Marshall has been the PRA's secretary and financial controller for

nine years and has been working as temporary managing director since Chris Storey left in April. He intends to improve communication and support to PRA members and develop services that are directly relevant to their everyday needs.

Marshall says that he hopes to announce a suite of research initiatives and a more targeted use of the PRA's information resource in the next few months.
