Lafarge Cement UK's Blue Circle Postcrete has played a key role in a recent campaign to safeguard a Derbyshire nature reserve, demonstrating both the versatility of the Blue Circle range and Lafarge's commitment to protecting the environment.

Lafarge's Hope Works has donated 25 bags of its higher-value,

ready-to-use cement. Blue Circle Postcrete, to Erewash Meadows Nature Reserve - a haven for wintering and breeding wild birds and very popular with walkers - to aid the installation often 'N'-shaped barriers to prevent vehicles from trespassing on the 42ha wet grassland area.

The wildlife reserve has come under increasing threat from motorbikes entering the site and staff at Erewash Meadows needed a quick, effective and low-cost solution to the problem.
