Purchasing on YouTube

Videos exploring purchasing and supply chain issues are beginning to appear on the YouTube.com website, according to JeanPhilippe Massin who posted his YouTube search experience on the Strategic Sourcing Europe site (www.massin.nl/eSourcing).

The search term "supply-chain" turns up a number of relevant videos, including "Animation for supply-chain operation in beverage industry pallet labelling", "Ford Manufacturing supply chain Cisco promotional video on supply chain management" and "The need for supply chain visibility by Forbes.com." A search for "RFID" generates over 50 results.

As he predicts, the number of hits can only grow as firms get involved with new media.
