ANSI adopts standard from Georgia Tech

The Energy and Environmental Management Center (EMC) of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta), announced the adoption of its Management System for Energy (MSE 2000) by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). It's the first management system for energy standards adopted nationally

by ANSI.

Key components of MSE 2000 are that it will:

reduce energy cost by identifying energy-saving opportunities,

reduce the organization's environmental impact by making better use of non-renewable energy,

lead to the most appropriate energy-purchasing decisions,

reduce energy use by showing companies how to make better use of equipment.

Organizations can implement ANSI/MSE 2000 in 9-12 months using the standard as a guide. Georgia Tech offers a structured implementation program and an MSE 2000 certification program.
