The Secret Art of Managing Your Boss: screencast edition

Back on April 25th I did a session for the annual conference of the National Association of Graduate Admissions Professionals on "The Secret Art of Managing Your Boss." It took me a while, but I finally figured out how to do a screencast and get decent audio (trick: acquire decent audio input device. Duh.). So here it is. All 55 minutes of it.

Rest assured, it's much better in person when you can see me in all my fidgeting glory. But I stutter, stumble and sigh enough on this screencast that I'm sure you'll get the picture (I can't even listen to myself with all the stuttering and sighing, but I don't want to spend another hour doing the thing.). And just in case you don't want to wade through 55 minutes of this stuff, here's a mindmap (pdf) of the whole thing.

A note of caution to those viewers who aren't employed in Higher Education. This thing is aimed (barely) at Admissions folks, with corresponding examples. Substitute your own. Carry on.
