BEMA announced that it has added its 202nd member to the Association, a record amount in its 84 years in the baking industry. "It's exciting to be with an association that has increased membership by nearly 25% in a single year," said Robert Hirsch, BEMA's president and CEO. "While we lost some

members in 2002 because of consolidation and the economic conditions, many more baking industry supplier companies have recognized the tremendous value of BEMA and decided to join." BEMA is already planning retention and new membership development initiatives to continue its strong growth in 2003 and beyond.
