At the branch's annual general meeting, which preceded the award ceremony,John Cowie was re-elected as chairman, Sue tiles as treasurer and Peter Henderson as public relations officer. Mike Rogers was elected secretary and Archie Scott was named in the joint post of education and student liaison officer.

At the meeting, members also heard a presentation by James Graham of Philips Auctioneers. Cowie said: "We chose our speaker well, as Graham had more questions than anyone else this session."
