Time Management Plan
I agree that making a mistake in hiring can cost thousands of dollars, and lots of wasted time. In my industry, medical sales, many companies are starting to utilize behavioral interviewing techniques in an attempt to better predict the likelyhood of success of a medical sales hiree, based upon his/her past behavior.

I have just completed posting a 10-part series on the nuances of behavioral interviewing when interviewing for jobs in medical sales. You may learn more by visiting http://www.gorillamedicalsales.com/blog ...

Are you attracting the right talent to your company?
As a business coach, I work with many different businesses in many different industries. I watched one water treatment company open up new locations while another one is barely hanging on. I see one home improvement company that can't keep up with the business while another goes out of business. I have a janitorial client who has doubled his business in the last four months. Why can some of these businesses thrive while others fail?

I see two trends. First, the thrivers are flexible. They cut costs when revenue goes down, market when times get tough, and hire while the labor market is ripe.

Second, they don't seem to notice how bad it is. They focus on their businesses and ignore the general drift. They avoid the people who dwell on the negative.

In short, they focus on managing their businesses and, when the dust clears, they will accelerate out of the recession and dominate their markets.
