Walter Timoshenko is the chief marketing officer at Weiser, an 82-year-old top 25 accounting firm with more than 150 professionals in its Lake Success offices.
He oversees Weiser's marketing and communications departments,
Over the years, he has held management positions with Grey Advertising's awardwinning Levine Huntley Vick & Beaver Advertising Agency where he worked on a variety of major brands alongside ad legends Harold Levine, Bob Schmidt, Terry Messner and Ed Vick.
An associate of the American Bar Association, Timoshenko co-developed and teaches the Strategic Marketing for Professional Services course offered by the Bar and holds seminars and personal training sessions on strategic marketing, negotiating, networking, and rainmaking.
He has lectured at various schools including the College of Business Administration and St. John's University. He recently served on the board of directors of the Legal Marketing Association of Metropolitan New York and now chairs that association's Strategic Liaison Committee.
A frequent contributor to Strategies, Law Marketing Portal, Professional Services Marketing, Codex, and Marketing for Lawyers, he has been quoted in Ad Week, Advertising Age, Codex-Luxembourg, Law Marketing, Long Island Business News, and Newsday.
A summa cum laude graduate of St. John's University, he was honored with the University Medal as well as the Marketing Achievement Medal. He is a member of the National Honor Societies in economics (Omicron Delta Epsilon), business (Beta Gamma Sigma), and advertising (Alpha Delta Sigma).
Timoshenko holds an MBA-level certificate in organizational behavior and is certified in behavioral analysis. His strong belief in the need for grass-roots involvement leads him to be an advocate for the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, the Shriner's Children's Burn Center and serving as a Nassau County firefighter and fire police lieutenant.
In recognition of his community work, Timoshenko received Kentucky's highest honor - the rank of colonel on the governor's staff.
He is a past recipient of the New York City Mayor's Voluntary Action Center Award and a Certificate of Commendation from the American Legion.
