YONKERS, N.Y., Sept. 22 (AScribe Newswire) -- Dozens of leading media organizations, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the Consumer Federation of America are urging the U.S. Supreme Court to weigh in on one of the most important freedom of press cases in decades. The groups have filed a series of amicus (friend of the court) briefs asking the court to review a ruling that a federal appellate court judge warned in his dissent would be "the death of consumer ratings."
A brief filed by dozens of media organizations including
