High Court Considers Diminished Value Case.

The alleged responsibility of automobile insurers to provide compensation for so-called diminished value has been brought before the Florida Supreme Court. The case being considered, Siegle v. Progressive Consumers Insurance Co., is the latest in a string of similar lawsuits around the country asserting that insurers be obligated to pay for, not only complete physical repairs to damaged automobiles, but for perceived lost market value as well.
