California Court Rejects WWII Damages Suit against Japan Cement Firms.

Apr. 2--LOS ANGELES -- A California superior court has reversed its decision of last year and rejected an 81-year-old Korean-American's damages suit against Japanese firms over slave labor during World War II.

The Korean-American had sued former Onoda Cement Co. and its successor Taiheiyo Cement Corp. for forcing him to labor on the Korean Peninsula without pay for some 18 months from 1944.
