FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- IDC and Kahn Consulting, Inc. announce the newly expanded one-and-a-half day Compliance in Information Management Forum: Controlling Legal Risk and Creating Business Value, taking place September 21-22, 2006 at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City.

Designed for decision makers from across the information management spectrum, the third annual Forum features world-class presentations, peer dialogue, and hands-on learning opportunities. The Hon. Ronald J. Hedges, U.S. Magistrate Judge, will kick off the event with his keynote address, "Managing Digital Information: The Court's View."

This year's event will feature case study presentations designed to help business, compliance, IT, legal, and records management professionals manage the profound challenges that every organization faces in managing their information to meet business goals and legal requirements. The outstanding speaker line-up includes senior executives from @doc, ARMA International, AXA Equitable, Dun & Bradstreet, EMC Corporation, Hitachi Data Systems, IDC, Kahn Consulting, Inc., Mayer, Brown, Rowe and Maw LLP, Qwest Communications, Sun Microsystems and Symantec.

"Information management has become central to every organization's success," said Randolph A. Kahn, Esq. founder and president of Kahn Consulting, Inc. "However, tackling the problem requires involvement from all sides of the business, which is why our conference has been designed to help decision makers across the enterprise understand the business and compliance value of managing information better."

The event features an in-depth half day pre-conference workshop entitled "Developing an Electronic Communications Strategy" on September 20, 2006. Using real-life examples and scenarios, the course provides workable solutions to management issues inherent in the business use of e-communications technologies. The workshop will provide start to finish practical suggestions on how to use these technologies to empower the enterprise while simultaneously meeting the organization's legal and compliance needs.

Sponsors and Partners of the Forum include: Sun Microsystems, Symantec, EMC Corporation, Hitachi Data Systems, AXS-One, ARMA International, Computer Technology Review, Digital Discovery and e-Evidence Newsletter, InfoWorld, KMWorld, The Sarbanes-Oxley Institute, The Wall Street Journal, and Women in Technology International.
