Dec. 19--Schering-Plough Corp. entered into illegal settlements with generic drug companies that delayed lower-priced versions of its widely used potassium drug, the Federal Trade Commission said Thursday.
The commission's ruling reversed a decision last year by an administrative law judge that had cleared Schering-Plough of the anti-competitive charges. The Kenilworth-based drug maker said Thursday it "strongly disagreed" with the decision and vowed to appeal.
