Washington State Senators Vote Against Medical Malpractice Caps.

Feb. 25--WASHINGTON -- Both U.S. senators from Washington state voted to block legislation that would limit malpractice judgments against obstetricians and gynecologists.
Republican supporters of the Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Act yesterday failed to get the 60 votes necessary to end debate and move the bill forward.
The vote on cloture, a Senate procedure to limit debate, was 48 to 45 in favor, with seven senators absent. Democratic Sens. Patty Murray and Maria Cantw
