Securities law might be a hot topic on Wall Street, on K Street, and within high-powered corporate law firms, but it remains a subject that barely registers a blip on the public's radar screen. That needs to change.

Too often, powerful and corrupt CEOs have manipulated the system to enrich themselves at the expense of shareholders, pension holders, and the public. The Enron and WorldCom debacles were only two of the most egregious scandals mocking our securities laws, demonstrating that the securities markets require constant vigilance and oversight.
