Jul. 15--PLANO, Texas-The city wants to give a stretch of Avenue K a makeover - on the zoning map, anyway.
City planners hope to make the street a more attractive entrance into downtown by limiting the types of businesses allowed in a corridor along the road from the Bush Turnpike to the DART-owned Cotton Belt Railroad line. Changes could take effect in a few months.
