Peoples State Bank mulls Detroit branch

Madison Heights-based Peoples State Bank is eyeing two sites for its first Detroit branch, which could open by next fall.

Bank president Michael Tierney, a 28-year veteran of Comerica, says the bank is looking at sites on East Jefferson and in Midtown, and may buy both. But it will only open one branch in the city next year, he says.
