Sep. 18--SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I.--A grass roots group is pressing the town to strengthen its affordable housing plan.
The plan should include a separate housing board, an annual review, and reward developers who mix affordable homes with expensive ones, the group said. "It needs more teeth," said affordable housing advocate Bill Flynn, a member of the Coalition to Support the Sokoloff Plan.
