Developer Drops Zoning Request for Redlands, Calif., Shopping Center.

Mar. 17--REDLANDS, Calif. -- The storm is over.

The proposed shopping center that has caused months of debate will not be built. An agent for the developer asked Tuesday night that the project be denied in the face of unanimous City Council opposition.

"This is fantastic," said Steven Mohr, who opposed the project. "It makes me really believe in the process.'
