Stanford, Conn., Officials Look to Curb Illegal Multifamily Dwellings.

Feb. 18--STAMFORD, Conn. -- City representatives agreed illegal multifamily apartments are a problem throughout the city, but took no action last night to prevent their spread.

"It is happening all over," city Rep. Robert "Gabe" DeLuca, R-14, said during a meeting of the Board of Representatives Land Use Committee.

The city is missing tax revenue and building permit fees on the illegal dwellings, said DeLuca, who asked the committee to consider amending city or
