Australia -- Daily fluctuations in retail petrol prices have been banned under new laws operating in Western Australia.
Responding to community anger over rising petrol prices last year, the Court Government has forced retailers to fix fluctuating costs. Service stations must now announce their proposed retail price to a government prices commissioner and will not be able to vary the price during a 24-hour period.
