Television program syndicator King World Productions Inc is negotiating directly with television stations to transfer the music rights of its programs, bypassing music licensing organizations such as ASCAP and BMI. Meanwhile, ASCAP and BMI remain at odds with television broadcasters over blanket licenses fees for television music used in 1994 and 1995.
