Jun. 27--A medical tribunal yesterday rejected the wrongful death lawsuit filed last year by the widow of a man who died of a heart attack in 2001 while participating in a gene therapy experiment at Caritas-St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton.
Susan Darke of Peabody had alleged that her husband, Roger, would never have participated in the experiment if he had known that the hospital and the study leader, Dr. Jeffrey Isner, had a financial stake in the outcome of the study. <
