Montana Investors to Receive $1.5 Million from US Bancorp Piper Jaffray.

Oct. 31--US Bancorp Piper Jaffray has agreed to pay $1.5 million in restitution to 38 Montana investors, and pay a $1 million fine for alleged unethical business practices and fraudulent securities dealing.

"I commend the people of Butte who have shown great courage by coming forward with their stories," state auditor John Morrison said Thursday at a press conference in the rotunda of the Butte-Silver Bow courthouse.
