CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 1, 1999--The law firm of Lord, Bissell & Brook is pleased to announce the addition of Bruce C. Shulan as a partner in the firm's expanding New York office.

Mr. Shulan comes to Lord, Bissell & Brook with extensive experience both in assisting insurance companies in turnaround situations, and in formulating and implementing strategies to resolve very high exposure cases of all types. He has most recently been senior vice president and general counsel for International Insurance Company (The Resolution Group) in Chicago, and formerly was the chief legal officer at The Signature Group in Schaumburg, Illinois.

At Lord, Bissell & Brook, Mr. Shulan will concentrate on insurance matters, transactional work, business and insurance litigation, and reinsurance disputes and will be applying his experience in resolving high stakes issues for the benefit of the firm's clients.

Mr. Shulan received his B.A. from the University of Vermont and his J.D. from Boston University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Illinois.
