Personal Service of Process Initiated Online

72-Hour Reply Time on Initial Proof of Service

PORTLAND, Ore. -- With the June 1st launch of its Click-to-Serve product line, Lawdex has announced the expansion of its website to include service of process over the web. The expanded

site gives any US attorney the tools to initiate service of process nationwide through a single portal. With it, law firms pay for and initiate service of process online with the service firm of their choice.

Lawdex timed their announcement to coincide with the annual conference of the National Association of Professional Process Servers (NAPPS) meeting this weekend in Portland, Oregon where Lawdex will demonstrate its live system. The online system delivers service of process requests to the associated members of NAPPS and other professional groups.

Lawdex has announced three distinct attorney tools with the launch: 1) A state-by-state search to find a process server 2) Rapid online initiation of service of process 3) Tracking and online job status.

The resulting documents and work orders arrive with each process server over the Lawdex Secure Document Exchange (SDX). The process server prints the documents and their agents deliver them in the field. Law-firm staff may then track job status online. Following the serve, the process server replies back with both a scanned and paper original of the proof of service.

Because of the speed of the system, Lawdex is promoting Click-to-Serve under its SDX product line with standard, rush, and same-day service. A standard flat-rate applies with additional charges for rush and same-day.

In addition to service of process, the new tools also deliver court filing over SDX to all counties in the state of California through attorney service firms affiliated with the California Association of Professional Process Servers (CAPPS).

Lawdex has offered a limited number of positions to servers in each state to participate in the Click-to-Serve rollout. All positions in California, Washington, and Nevada are currently filled. Process Servers may contact Lawdex for availability in other states. The service allows an attorney to find a process server and immediately initiate service of process online in all 50 US states from California to New York.

Beginning June 1st, the Lawdex rollout plan includes national advertising and press sweeps through web sites totaling more than 50 million hits monthly.
