ADVISORY...for Saturday (May 10 & June 7)
--(BUSINESS WIRE)
WHO: The law firm of Jones Day and the accounting firm of RSM
McGladrey have partnered to sponsor and produce "Spotlight on
Legal and Financial Foundations of Venture Success," a two-part
workshop in association with the Caltech/MIT Enterprise Forum
Program. The workshop will take an in-depth look at the critical
legal and financial issues of venture development.
WHAT: While technology, investors and customers might be the
greatest concerns of a typical business executive, the success
of high-tech ventures also requires a solid legal and financial
foundation; too often these critical elements are given casual
attention by hard-charging entrepreneurs. This workshop will
provide attendees with a balanced review of traditional and
cutting-edge practices from a prestigious faculty that includes
experienced attorneys, accountants and entrepreneurs.

WHY: Transforming advanced technology and innovative ideas into
successful business ventures depends on much more than technical
know-how. It requires intelligent financial planning and solid
management decisions at every stage of a company's formation and
growth. The greatest technology in the world will not thrive in
the marketplace without the right corporate structure to seize
growth opportunities, maximize profits, ensure fiscal stability
and protect the entrepreneur's personal assets.
