Idaho: Governor proposes review of sentencing
Gov. Dirk Kempthorne said he would place a high priority on the Blue Ribbon Task Force recommendations for changes in sentencing guidelines to address problems created by a growing prison population.
The governor in his State of the State address also confirmed his support for the death penalty
"There is now consensus language to correct a technical flaw in the sentencing process in death penalty cases. I strongly support the death penalty and will sign this legislation as quickly as you send it to my desk."
