Clifford Chance to move operations to 52nd Street.

Clifford Chance US LLP announced that its partners have agreed to consolidate its operations at the Deutsche Bank Building at 31 West 52nd St. beginning May 1, 2004. The modern, state-of-the-art Clifford Chance space in Midtown, consisting of 380,000 SF, has the capacity to house 500 attorneys. Construction of the firm's space will begin over the summer.

"This is a unique time in The New York real estate market, where we have an opportunity to secure premium space which will well serve us and our clients for many years to come," said John Carroll, Clifford Chance's regional managing partner for the Americas.

Clifford Chance intends to occupy 14 contiguous floors of the building with expansion options in 10 and 15 years. Among the many facilities, the new Clifford Chance space will contain a state-of-the-art conference center, conference rooms on all 10 practice group floors and a spacious cafeteria. The Deutsche Bank Building is close to public transportation and is a convenient walk from major hotels, health clubs and restaurants. Clifford Chance currently occupies 353,000 SF in three buildings in New York, the largest of which is the Metropolitan Life Building at 200 Park Ave.
