The leading provider of enterprise eBusiness intelligence

engages the world's largest new high-tech economy

WebTrends Corporation (Nasdaq:WEBT), the leading provider of Enterprise

Solutions for Visitor Relationship Management(TM), and eBusiness Intelligence, announced today that it has entered into a master distribution agreement with Ronghai Consulting, a leading IT systems consultant in the Peoples Republic of China.

With this agreement, WebTrends secures a partner in China's opening marketplace, increasing the company's worldwide competitive lead.

With the recent vote of the U.S. House of Representatives to normalize trade relations between the U.S. and China, the world's most populous nation has become an emerging economy. This trade agreement, coupled with analyst projections that the Asia-Pacific Rim will surpass Western Europe as the world's second largest Internet population in 2002, has made Mainland China an attractive opportunity for WebTrends.

"We are pleased to enter into a distribution agreement with Ronghai Consulting and position ourselves in China's growing economy," said Andy Kim, International Marketing Director, WebTrends Corporation. "With the tremendous growth projections for the Chinese market, it is important that WebTrends align itself with an established local IT leader. Ronghai Consulting's reputation, complementary product portfolio and national reach should allow us to more strategically penetrate the market and offer WebTrends' leading solutions backed by local quality support."

Under the new agreement, Ronghai Consulting will assume local marketing, distribution, service and support responsibilities for WebTrends' Enterprise Solutions in Mainland China. Ronghai will also gain access to WebTrends' world class service and support network in addition to expanding its product portfolio.

"We are seeing a continued interest and growth in China's eBusiness sector, as customers want to gain a better understanding of Web site visitor behavior and preferences," said Peter Zhao, CEO of Ronghai Consulting. "Our business model is built upon the principle of offering the Chinese market the best in IT products together with our local professional services. We are very excited to represent WebTrends and believe their solutions will enhance our advanced Internet product and service portfolio."
