Australia's Mt Grace Resources NL has signed a licence agreement to use Mintek's DC transferred-arc process for magnesium production (MJ, July 14, p.29). Under the terms of the agreement Mt Grace will partially fund the construction of a 1.5 MW demonstration furnace at its 50,000 t/y Batchelor project in Australia's Northern Territory.
