Gallery transaction completed.

Though the art business has been having its problems recently, there is continuing leasing activity with Uptown art galleries.

In a $1 million lease transaction, William W. Collins, senior vice president of Judson Realty, Inc., has leased a part of the third floor at 24 West 57th Street to Christopher Leonard Gallery, Inc. The gallery is an Australian-based company conducting business internationally since mid-1990. It represents primarily Australian and New Zealand artists and is partially subsidized by the Australian government.

In other gallery transactions, Collins reports on the expansion of the Lillian Heidenberg Gallery at 50 West 57th Street. Heidenberg doubled her space at that building.

Collins was also the broker in the relocation of Malcolm Franklin Antiques from East 57th Street to the entire second floor at 762 Madison Avenue.
