Taos, NM Fuels Public Bus With Earthship Biodiesel.

Taos, NM-based Earthship BioDiesel recently announced that the Town of Taos Transportation Department has entered into a pilot program with the company under which one of the town's Chili Line buses is being fueled with locally produced biodiesel.

According to Earthship BioDiesel, a

division of Earthship Biotecture, the company is producing thousands of gallons of the alternative fuel at its Taos-based biorefinery.

The company noted that private and commercial vehicles operated by area construction companies and such businesses and groups as Paradise Power, Mud 'n Flood, Speedy Services, Tierro Lucero, Angel's Nest Institute and Joe's EarthWorks are currently using its biodiesel, with more than 20 area restaurants providing waste vegetable oil for pickup by Earthship.
