American Airlines to Stop Discriminating, Focus on Civil Rights Training.

Mar. 2--The settlement of a federal lawsuit orders American Airlines to stop discriminating against travelers who are Muslim or of Arab, Middle Eastern, or South Asian descent, and it orders the carrier to focus more on employee civil rights training.

Without admitting violations of federal anti-discrimination laws, American agrees to spend at least $1.5 million during the next three years on additional training. American will then make new training manuals available to
