Iowa Customers Allege They Were Hassled by Security Officers

At least a dozen people are seeking several million dollars in damages in a class-action lawsuit against Menard Inc. The plaintiffs allege that security officers at Iowa Menards stores detained and threatened them after falsely accusing them of shoplifting.

According to the Des Moines Register, the lawsuit in Polk County District Court also asks for an injunction barring Menards from its alleged harsh treatment of accused shoplifters.
