UK piecemeal approach to IT cost control.

Mercury Interactive have announced the findings of a major study which indicates most UK businesses are wasting the investments they have been making in better governing their IT. Whilst 74 per cent of the UK CIOs questioned claimed to have adopted IT Governance technology within their business, just two per cent were using it across the whole enterprise--defeating its purpose. Rather than using IT Governance to support the automation of all IT processes and functionality, and to align the business outcomes of IT, the majority of CIOs admitted they were taking a piecemeal approach
