I want to suggest to you a historic difference in our world for now, that is now compared to that. It may be that in the world as we see it going forward, I quarrel with people about this. My position is we have a permanent capital globe. We face a world with underutilized capital that grows faster than we have the human capital and ideas to deploy it in new industry. So these are the factors that go into the creation of this new economy and we in fact see an economy with new actors. We have these startups that you've been studying and we have huge companies, established large firms and those that have survived have actually moved into an incredibly interesting symbiotic relationship with startups. I've spent a fair time in my life in the venture capital world. Twenty years ago it was common for the venture capital fund to exit in to IPOs. That was the most common 8/10 of your successful investments would go to an IPO, right. Now it's 2/10, the other 8 go right into strategic buyouts that are in many cases written about in the first iteration of the business plan. I'm doing x, y and z if successful and IKEA will buy this company. If successful Motorola will buy this company. If successful Boeing will buy this company. Microsoft buys three companies a week. Johnson & Johnson buys more than a 100 companies a year. All those big laboratories that used to exist have all been shut. America's R&D is done by entrepreneurs in small firms. This economy has figured out how to off set risks into small firms and indeed the government, if you can believe this, has changed radically. You know the government easily passes out the first grub steak for hundreds and hundreds of businesses every year. The SBIRs. And you know all about them. The government is central to the American system because it largely subsidizes all the R&D that takes place in these universities and I would just say to you while you're here, understand that you walk by everyday buildings in which the ideas of the new economy are formed. More of it going on here than in big business. You are smack in the middle of the furnace of the new capitalism.
