Workers Compensation Bills Put Crunch on Ohio Companies.

Sep. 1--HAMILTON, Ohio -- Thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, a global manufacturer of shock absorbers with offices in Hamilton, made an assumption this year like many other Ohio companies: That the state of Ohio would issue a workers' compensation dividend, which in the past covered most of the annual premiums paid by companies.

Instead, Bilstein must pay workers comp premiums totaling $166,600 -- $123,690 more than it had to pay last year, company officials said.
