Republic Airways Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:RJET) announced on Tuesday that it will create up to 300 new full-time positions in Indianapolis in

2010.

As a result of adding these positions Republic Airways will be eligible to receive up to around USD4m in economic incentives through to the end of 2019, based on the number of new jobs created.

The new jobs are part of the company's consolidation of its business operations functions to its headquarters in Indianapolis. The move includes the consolidation of administrative and operating functions across all lines of business.

Approximately 140 operations employees currently based in Denver will be affected by the consolidation, which is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2010.

Positions to be relocated include dispatchers, engineers, crew schedulers and other operations functions. Other new positions in Indianapolis are expected to come from new job growth and additional consolidation of job functions throughout Republic's network.
