Tonawanda, N.Y., Machinists Reach Tentative Pact with American Axle.

May 5--The International Association of Machinists has reached a tentative agreement at American Axle and Manufacturing a day before expiration of the previous contract, a union source said Tuesday.
The Machinists Lodge 490 represents about 100 workers at American Axle's forge in the Town of Tonawanda, according to the Detroit-based company. The Machinist union also represents about 135 workers at an American Axle plant in Detroit.
