New Overtime Rules Mean Price Drop for Shows at Philadelphia Convention Center.

Feb. 2--New union overtime rules have driven an 8 percent drop in the cost of exhibiting at the Convention Center, according to the first analysis of the new labor agreement that took effect in mid-October.

The analysis, completed by building officials at The Inquirer's request, shows that three large meetings whose labor expenses were studied spent a total of $87,283 less than they would have before the agreement, which was struck last summer.
