Southern California Picket Lines Grow Tense in Eighth Week of Grocery Strike.

Dec. 5--Chanel Petty and her three young sons were about to enter an Albertsons in San Clemente recently when they were confronted by a finger-pointing picket.

"She got one inch away from my 10-year-old's face and said, 'Your mother took you into a dangerous situation. Your mom is un-American,'" an outraged Petty recalled. "At that point we got surrounded by picketers. I told them to back off. I told the lady to get her finger out of my face. She said, 'Make me.'"
